Clayton and Marie Newell have called Hermann home since 2020 and are raising two daughters who also have the entrepreneurial spirit.
Rickhouse Retreats is an extension of what we’ve built at Lionheart; a place rooted in craftsmanship, community, and taking care of people well.

What Guests Say About Their Stay
Location, location, location! We stayed in the fairly new Single Barrel Suite for two nights on an (overly) warm September weekend. The suite had some finishing touches to complete but overall was outstanding. Location is everything! It is right in the center of town. It was an easy walk to wineries, shops, and restaurants. To access the suite, you walk through the main building, then up an outdoor staircase to a private deck and entrance. The suite was super clean and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The suite is on the backside of the building, so it was peaceful and quiet. The A/C worked beautifully and kept the space pleasantly cool. Kitchen is small but extremely efficient with the cutest dishwasher I have ever seen! The king-sized bed was comfortable and the curtains kept the light out, so we slept well. We look forward to staying here again!
We stayed in the Coalesce Suite with another couple. The two king beds was the perfect set up for us all to be comfortable. The location is perfect for walking to Market St &/or 1st St.

The rooms were beautifully decorated, king size beds super comfortable, quiet street great for sleeping and so many well thought of details for guests comfort…not to mention the amazing Lionheart Whiskey store down below! The owners are quick to respond to a text and a fantastic family to have conversation with while enjoying an Espresso Old Fashioned.
